What are some actors/actresses you only find attractive in certain roles?

My big one has always been David Boreanaz. My sister loved him in BTVS/Angel but I thought he was ugly as hell. It wasn't until Bones that I saw his appeal. I think his Angel character was too pale plus the way he hunched made his head look enormous.

Possibly the poster child for this is Benedict Cumberbatch. I ONLY find him attractive as Sherlock. Anything else I have seen him in is a no go.

What about you?

I also only find Tom Hiddleston attractive as Loki.

And I found both Matt Smith and David Tennant attractive when they were playing the role of the Doctor, but not in anything else.

Loki/Tom Hiddleston seems to be common.

I definitely prefer Tennant as the Doctor. Then again, the only other thing I saw him in was that vampire movie where he was a rockstar or something.

For me, it's Tom Hiddleston as Loki. He looks so much better with longish, straight black hair than with his naturally curly, short blonde hair.

Speaking of Tom's, Tom Mison looks much better as the longer haired Ichabod Crane in his Colonial garb than his short hair, mondern clothed self. (He's still pretty though...)

I actually prefer his natural hair! But I am not a fan of long hair at all. D: Though his Thor hair is better than his Avengers/Thor 2 hair.

From what I have seen of Tom Mison, I think I prefer him with long hair.

I think Liza Weil is really hot in HTGAWM. I never watched Gilmore Girls but I saw her in a guest role on an older show recently and she looked completely different. So I think the short hair might be doing it for me.

Based on google images, she looks much better with short hair. It must be her facial structure.

There are so many of these for me as I'm usually attracted to the character and not the actor.

Agree with Loki...
Dominic Cooper in The Devils Double - a bit of a cheat as he's made up to look totally different with a prosthetic nose and fake teeth etc because he's playing Iraqi characters (I know, I know) but I found him SO HOT in that movie and was so disappointed when I saw him in other stuff afterwards.

Dominic Cooper, aka that guy whose name I always know but no idea why. Is he less....squirelly looking in that movie?

I'm a fan of Cooper but haven't made it to The Devil's Double. Now I'm curious to see how different he is in that movie. Must remedy!

Simon Pegg in The World's End. I just love Gary King okay.

The only thing I like Simon Pegg in is the Mission Impossible movies. He is so awesome in it!

Chris Evans as Cap.

Aw, I love Evans as anything. His body and looks hit all my kinks. O.O

Ditto Cumberbatch as Sherlock. David Duchovny as Fox Mulder, I can't watch him in Californication!

Duchovny made such a gorgeous woman in Twin Peaks.

Sherlock and Loki seem to be the front runners. Seems like people like British men as dark, long haired guys. :P

The only thing I even remotely enjoyed Benedict Cumberbatch in has been The Imitaton Game.

I need to watch all his movies. That one and the Theory of Everything.

Jake Gyllenhaal never did anything for me until I saw him in Prince of Persia. I was not expecting that.

For me it was Prisoners. I have no idea why. That stops undercut on Jake just really did it for me.

He was really pretty in PoP though

Was it the muscles? Or just the whole character design?

Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts. That's the big one for me. Don't care for her in anything else because every other character she plays is a snoozefest, and I have no strong feelings negative or positive about her blog thing. But Pepper. GDI there's all the heart beats right there.

Yeah, I can feel that. There's a few other small things I find her attractive in, but Pepper is definitely on some other shit
