All right, I'm curious. What happened to Fast Eddie, and who's running it now? (I used to entertain fantasies of appealing my ban once Eddie was gone.)

It was handed off to new admins just before the kickstarter thing happened. Who knows, you might get lucky and get unbanned.

Eddie had a full on breakdown, and required temporary hospitalization. There was a period of about three weeks early last year where the site was essentially running without an admin, and when he was discharged there was an effort by the other mods to get him to hand off to someone else. Basically he then sold the site to them.

If you are appealing a ban you need to pick a day when Fighteer isn't curating the edit banned thread, he's still being as much of a tryanical bastard as possible there, but if you do a read through you can pick up his pattern and post when it is likely enough to be the sane mods. Fighteer is burning through his site goodwill at a rate of knots there, and it is only a matter of time before his bullying ass is given the same dis-invitation he loved gloating about to others over.

This is fantastic news! I mean, I'm sorry about FE's breakdown and the website did seem important to him, but hopefully he'll find something healthier to occupy his time and this outcome will work out for everyone.
