It's porn. It doesn't have to obey the laws of logic or characterization (or the regulations against fraternization, apparently.)

Well the UN Spacy/RDF seems a little lax on on fraternization anyway. I mean Lisa's relationship with Rick even caused some problems, like Hunter not being called up when there was an attack because she told everyone he was sick, after she caught him with Minmay.

*Insert Japanese names where appropriate but after the first series this seems to be much more a Robotech issue, that has a lot more relationships between superior and junior officers, most of the later Macross shows have love triangles where only one person is military.*
