I recommend due South, OP.

Um, what?

I love the show, but no. Fraser hallucinates his dead father, Kowalski has issues from his marriage and with anger (and possibly with the alien abduction), Vecchio has issues from being undercover (and has maybe crossed a few lines) not to mention marrying Kowalski's ex, Frannie just harassed the hell out of Fraser, Thatcher behaved questionably toward her subordinates at times, Welsh had family issues, and, okay, Elaine was pretty awesome and I guess Huey was okay (I'm really not sure how to classify Turnbull). Loving, sure, mutually respectful, not really, healthy, no.

I thought the idea was that the romantic relationships should be healthy, not that the characters should be healthy?

And yeah that probably sounds weird, but people can have issues and still be in healthy romantic relationships.

Well, all those issues seemed to cause some problems in some of their non-romantic relationships and romantic relationships.

What you're thinking of us called drama. There isn't any show created that doesn't have any of it, otherwise it would die a quick death. But due South manages to have strong, healthy relationships between the characters, which is what OP is after.

What pairings are you thinking of? Because I'm thinking of Victoria/Fraser and Stella/Vecchio. If you're talking about non-canon romantic pairings, I don't think Fraser/Thatcher or Fraser/Vecchio are all that healthy. I guess an argument could be made for Fraser/Kowalski, but I could think of a counter one. And Vecchio/Kowalski is possibly in a class by itself. As for respect, though Fraser pays a lot of lip service to it, sometimes he can be very stubborn and has the need to do things his way regardless.

I love the show and the characters, but healthy romantic relationships? I'm sorry, I don't see it. I do think there were some lovely friendships, but there were some serious growing pains (including physical altercations, abandonment, and manipulation).

To each his/her own, anon. I made a rec to OP, not to you.
