I can see that. Megatron registers as agender and male-by-default-only to me, but Starscream screams stereotypical attention starved teen boy so hard that I can't imagine him female.

Pretty much this. He might be smaller and have a higher-pitched voice (I'm assuming that's what we're saying makes him more "feminine"?) but that always seemed to point more to his immaturity than anything else, to me.
