I totally get why it's gross. I feel gross about it (especially when I really go nuts and start picking at the skin around the nails). I just can't help myself.

I bite my nails sometimes. Way less than I used to, but sometimes I start doing it without realizing.

Me too. I can't help it.

I can stop for a while though by putting on nail polish. I don't bite them since I'm more scared of eating nail polish by accident, lol.

I did this obsessively till about middle school, then broke the habit. Now I love my nails and wouldn't even consider biting them. (Nail polish helps a lot with this, both because I don't want nail polish in my mouth, and my nails look too fabulous to ruin.)
