Weekend Plans

Both my sister and mother have the flu. So I'll be spending a lot of the time making sure they are drinking water and eating soup. Thankfully I have the immune system of a crocodile. Other than that, I'll be watching The Wire (maybe making GIFs) and playing WoW.

What are you all doing?

I'm gearing up for an exciting move! I am looking forward to it, and didn't realize just how much of my energy was bound up in, "Where am I going? What will I do?" panic until it got settled.

I'm going down to the city to hang out with friends, and see my family, and then eventually celebrate my birthday (it's on Tuesday). So hopefully that will be fun, and not awkward and awful.

Also what do you think of The Wire so far????

Apparently I'm going to be snowed the fuck in! Looking at maybe seven inches tomorrow, so I bought a shitload of food today. I'll probably cook some really spicy ramen, watch netflix with the heat cranked, and pop both my middle fingers out the window as the shit falls.

Stupid global warming. Screwing up what should be a mild Southern Winter. I woke up to 5F in NC. We supposed to have 50F weather here around this time. Jesus, I don't even own a proper coat.

Oh man, I should call my dad (in SC). They don't have central heating (just a wood heater).

I live in OK and we get really cold winters. I used to have a proper coat but I lost too much weight. So now I just layer with hoodies.

The weather here is going to be bad, so staying inside, and staying warm.
My satellite isn't working, so I'll be watching netflix, and let's plays on youtube(I'm watching some Zelda series LPs. I completely suck at the first one, but watching the LPs is encouraging me to try again.)
I will of course be riding my exercise bike, and drawing. Not at the same time though, I've tried it didn't work to well.

Ohhhh. I wonder if I can find a LP guy I would enjoy to watch some Ocarina of Time play throughs. I love that game so much!

What do you usually do on your exercise bike? Watch TV or listen to music?

Laundry. Lots of laundry.
Grocery shopping.
Reading.
Maybe starting on my taxes. But probably not.

I gave up coffee for Lent, but Catholics can cheat on Sundays. They're mini-Easters. So on Sunday I'm going to sleep in, then enjoy a nice, hot cup of coffee with cinnamon rolls.

because of COMPLETE WORK BULLSHIT, I have to be on a bus at 2AM tonight/tomorrow morning, and will probably not be back home until 4:30.

This wouldn't normally be so bad... except I have a choir concert tomorrow that's running essentially from 9AM-9PM, with I HOPE TO GOD breaks in the middle for me to go home and pass the fuck out.

Um. I had the eventful weekend last week (and thus wasn't on F!S), so I dunno if anything's happening. Maybe I'll be seeing either Birdman or Kingsman? Something with man in the title.

Playing old FPS games. That's really about it. Current flavour is Painkiller: Black Edition, haven't played in years but it's still silly and fun.

Other than keeping an eye on my mom I don't know. She was dizzy and weak yesterday (and didn't say anything about it until she almost collapsed :/) and tripped and fell on the sidewalk (didn't hurt anything, thankfully). We think it was a case of low blood pressure, and maybe a bit of dehydration (she seems to be doing okay today), but for the next few days I'm going to be making sure she eats well, gets plenty of fluids and is careful.

Maybe I'll manage to watch a few episodes of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Will probably clean a bit like usual, but it'll be quiet.

My original plans included going to visit a friend and going to a hockey game with him, but alas! He lives an hour and a half away and it's supposed to be miserably snowy and icy so we both decided it was best to just cancel and go to a different game.

I did go to a hockey game tonight and Sunday is the Daytona 500 so we're having a party at my house to start off race season.

Good luck taking care of your mom and sister! I hope they feel better. Funny thing, for the Daytona party, my dad's making a bunch of soups. So far he's doing chicken noodle, tortilla, and lasagna soup.

I just got done hunting bridesmaid dresses and it was horrible, I hate this wedding and am now tempted to bail cause she's a fucking bridezilla.

Going to go home, cross fingers the dogs are okay and didn't destroy or eat anything and are ok with the heat. Then if cooler their daily social walk but it's pretty fucking hot so night just start walking on the lead practice in backyard.

Then get very drunk and...just remembered that nasty Trojan. Fix that.

Tomorrow I am turning my phone off and doing nothing but quiet time.

How is WoW at the moment? I haven't played that game seriously in like five years. I'm always curious to jump back in since most of the people I know play that game. What do you like about it at the moment.

I will probably (hopefully) be seeing my weekly date tomorrow. He's said he wanted to cook for me again, though really I'm just happy to see him.

I hope your sister and mother feel better soon.
