I like some pain with my sexy fun times, but damn. Between that and the tampon scene, I'm so glad that everything I know about that book came from the reviews and not from reading the stupid thing.

Yeah. That scene surprised me just because, I figured EVERYONE had an Unpleasant Soap Incident at SOME point in their lives. It's such a weird failure of suspension of disbelief--like someone washing their dishes with Drano.

Obviously I am way overthinking it; it just really stuck with me.
