I don't think so. Unless it was for a very small fandom where people are super desperate for content, I don't think most people would bother having to listen to a fanfic to see if it was any good when there was no text to accompany it.

sure, but pretty everyone who records an audio fic will go ahead and have text accompanying it because they don't want to limit their audience (and they probably already have it written down anyway)
