4. Wow, is Sweeney Todd really that bad? Why is there so much wank over it? Of course it won't be exactly like the Broadway musical. Just accept that already.

6. I'm sorry to say that I don't comment very often myself. It's not because I don't have the time, it's because I can't think of what to say. I read everything, but when I don't have anything relevant to add, I don't comment. I'm guessing this is the reasoning behind a lot of people.

Then again, I don't know who you're talking about, so maybe it's different there or she's the type to take hissy fits if "no one's paying attention." Try asking for her AIM or MSN or something.

4) There's wank because the two main characters blow, while everything else rocks, thus ruining an otherwise awesome adaptation.

Both my mom and best friend who are like...Broadway whores loved it. I think it's a lot of elitism and shit like that.

Although some people probably have some very valid complaints, it would taker a blind person to see a lot of this isn't "Let's jump on the hating Johnny Depp/Tim Burton/Helena Carter/whoever" bandwagon.

4. Depends on what you're watching it for. And how much you like the Depp/Burton stylizations. And whether or not you mind Depp's singing.
