1. He is ugly, I have Twilight fans on my flist and they insist he's the perfect Edward, I've never read the books but going by the descriptions isn't him supposed to be pretty and shiny? So not how I'd describe Gaspard, IMO Robert is gorgeous, shiny and sparkly.

I'm not familiar with Twilight beyond "Ew, melodramatic vampire romance", so I can't weigh in on the Edward thing, but I find him really attractive. Different strokes, I guess.
