SO guys, what vintage fandoms are you/were you into, and what vintage shows do you love, even if you weren't in the fandom for them?

I haven't gone looking for a fandom but The Dick Van Dyke Show makes me so happy. It's one of my comfort shows.

Anyone else love how now that it's ending, suddenly everyone's talking about it?

I came in a bit late myself, season four... I'm sorry it's ending, but at the same time glad it's on a high note. I have to admit I don't love the 2017 thing, but they're making it work.

Never watched bob's burgers before, saw the gifsets etc and it looked clever but the animation bugged me.
Watch an episode with my friends and I just...those voices. Why do they all sound awful? Idk i just couldn't watch it I'm sorry, I know it's feminist friendly and a great happy comedy whatever but between the voices and the art style I couldn't do it.

I Love Lucy all the way. Roseanne went off air in 1997 but I am counting it. Golden Girls.

I love Starsky & Hutch so much. It just seems to get better and better every time I watch it. Still in the fandom.

Does Star Trek count if there's all those sequel shows and reboots? If so, that too.

I also really, really love The Twilight Zone.

Bewitched. Where is my Sam Stevens angst fics over outliving Dum-Dum, where is my Darrin/Larry tate slash? Or my Endora self-inserts... You just know if it was made today fandom would be all over that. Oh the insane fan theories over Darrin's change of appearance (He's a timelord!!) that I'll never read.

I love Bewitched, even though my parents barely existed during its run never mind me, and I so wish there was a fandom. I was actually hopeful that the dire movie a few years back would spark a revival, but no. I wanna discuss things like its pro-gay agenda and how Agnes Moorhead (despite being the biggest radical fundie in the biz back then) managed to become a gay icon and part of the civil rights movement in general and how she squared that. I wanna discuss all the fun magic theories, or try some Samantha cosplay.

Sadly, there is no fandom despite the show being awesome. I keep hoping that maybe there'd be a comicbook revival like Batman '66, but I doubt even that'll happen.

I guess that is kind of a funny thing...and honestly I hadn't watched it at all until a couple of months ago! I kind of wish I'd been able to go along for the ride instead of having to catch up.

The 2017 thing is a little strange. I'm not gonna lie, I would've liked to see how Leslie handled pregnancy (especially having to take time off. That must have driven her bonkers! I can see her trying to get back to work as quickly as possible and Ben being like, "SLOOOOOWWWW DOOOOOWWWWWN"). At the same time, it's allowed them to poke fun at technology and corporate America in a semi-speculative fiction type of way, which I've liked.

The fandom was once great, but I hope it never gets the Sailor Moon Crystal treatment and revived. Ranma fandom has gone to shit over the last fifteen years. I want it to be like it used to be and not full of true-way auties.
