Occasionally, extinct animals emerge from the tar pits to reign havok. Most of their religion is based around these events.

At the height of tar season, seagulls drop crabs into the town, and the crabs become stuck in the tar. It's really easy to catch them because of that, so everyone puts crab in their cabbage stew.
