(Anonymous) 2015-02-22 11:28 pm (UTC)(link)I categorically refuse to read any fan fiction that includes both Steve/Howard and Steve/Tony. I do like them individually just fine though.
Why? Because my reactions have always been as follows:
-I feel sorry for Howard that Steve is going after his SON of all people after being in love with him
-I go "Really, Steve? You're going after your lover's KID?" and I'm put off by him. I just can't like him much at all.
-I'm creeped out by Tony and I can't help but think "Why the hell do you want to fuck someone who fucked/wanted to fuck your DAD?"
And so all parties get hit and I can't even enjoy the Steve/Howard (even though Tony wasn't even BORN at that point) --> the Steve/Tony retroactively ruins Howard and Steve's romance for me.
I really, really, really don't want to have to deal with this shit in MCU canon.
