Since several people told me it's amazing, I wanted to try it - I'm pretty new to gaming. So I bought a second-hand retail version. The first time I played it was a couple of hours ago and I was kinda surprised: it looks really bad. Is it normal? I mean, I know that it's old (2000, I think?) but it looks worse than FF7! And it's really slow. I know my computer can handle it cause it can run recent games like Skyrim or Batman Arkham Origins.

Should I use mods to make it look better? Should I change the resolution (1366 x 768)?

The mods really do help. Not sure why it's slow for you though, my copy runs fine? Though I got mine from steam.

That's why I asked. I wanted to know whether it was my copy or the game itself.

Is the game worth it though? Because I only used mods for DAO before.
