I'll give you the right answer: Because the reporters are doing the job expected of them by asking those questions, and the actresses aren't, by being rude.

Yes. Just tell them who made the fucking dress you got for free. Or, don't dress up and skip the interviews.

Again, actresses are usually contractually obligated to go through the red carpet and the interviews. They could turn in to the red carpet event in their pajamas, but let's be honest that would just make the interviews worse.

But that's the point. They can't not dress up and they can't skip the interviews. They have to fucking do it, whether they want to or not, and for some reason, you're perfectly cool with that and think they should be slagged on for taking control of the one part of it they can.

not every actress questioned on her clothing was gifted said clothing for the purpose of designer exposure. many have yes but not all of them and those who did not make this deal have every right to reject questions that NO LONGER apply to the process.

in addition, designers also promote themselves through men too, and i have never seen a reporter ask about a man's attire on the red carpet, even though it wouldbe applicable there. gender definitely plays a role.
