I don't think anyone here is saying it's wrong to ship them. I think a lot of people here, though, ARE squicked by the concept and don't want it to be canon, which is different.

Like, I remember reading and enjoying some Azula/Zuko fan fiction, but I would NEVER EVER want it to be canon because it would really mess up how I see the characters. And I don't think it would fit Zuko's personality AT ALL (Azula, maybe, just to mess with Zuko).

Or shipping Korra with Tenzin -- I'm not against the fanon pairing and I don't judge the shippers, but it would REALLY, REALLY squick me out in canon.
