Yeah, I grew up loving fire and dragon types for obvious reasons, but then I started looking at various pokemon and realized that I really REALLY love ground types. Like, it's a love affair that's been going on for at least four years now.

Current team is officially Mamoswine (ground/ice), Garchomp (ground/dragon), Excadrill (ground/steel), Gliscor (ground/flying), Hippowdon (ground), and Swampert (ground/water). With Mamoswine and Garchomp taking down everyone before I can even burst out the others. I went super IV/EV training this past gen. Done the EV stuff before, but IVs were new (and easier than I thought they'd be, but apparently they've been getting easier to manipulate with each gen?). It was fun. I brought down my cousin's ALL LEGENDARY team with them.

Which btw, having auto-Sandstorm that lasts twice as long due to a held item + four pokemon with other abilities that benefit from it + Gliscor in the middle during a triple battle while the pokemon on the sides earthquake the hell out of the whole arena = BEST THING EVER.

I actually don't think the legendaries are that impressive in battle. I love a lot of them but they are definitely not the ones that I want to go into a fight with.

Ugh, I hate sandstorm! And hail. I should probably use it more often like you do. It would be so satisfying after all the times being on the wrong side of it. That is a brilliant set-up on your part.

HAHAHAHA. The only downside is that the one ground pokemon who has it as a natural ability (Hippowdon) is also SUPER SLOW. It's really hard for her to hold her own and she tends to be the first to die. :(

Tyranitar has it too, but I like the idea of being a pseudo-gym leader pure type-ist. So Hippowdon it is.

And even though I use Sandstorm, I still hate hail. The hypocrisy! Of course, I can always switch in Mamoswine who also knows Iron Head which is super effective against Ice...

...I might think about my pokemon strategies too much.
