Really? I looked at the Oscar tag on Tumblr right after the animated film winner was announced and already saw people complaining about how the "whitewashed" Disney film beat the film with the disabled protagonist. (And lol at the people in the tag acting like Disney's the big mega corporation bullying poor scrappy indie studio Dreamworks. Like, y'all know Dreamworks is a corporate giant with lots of money too, right?)

Dreamworks recently had to lay off a huge ton of people because HTTYD2 flopped, though? (Before the accusations of bias, I like both Disney and Dreamworks and I do think Disney deserved the award this time.)

Even so there's still a pretty big gap between Dreamworks and say, Laika or Cartoon Saloon. Sure, Disney probably spent the most money campaigning for its movie but I'm sure Dreamworks was a close second so it's not like some big soulless corporate giant beating on the poor little guys or anything. (And for the record, my preferred win would've been Kaguya.)
