Eh, I've had all sort of weird crushes on teachers. Well, professors. I had this one professor that looked a bit like Gene Wilder and then I had this other professor that looked (and acted!) like RDJ/Tony Stark, so... yeah.

Honestly, I think it's pretty normal? And yeah, just keep it as a "BAD IDEA WILL NEVER HAPPEN" kind of thing and it should be pretty harmless as well.

OMG is the character in question Nitori (from Free!)?! Because if it is then you chose pretty much the most perfect picture for your secret. :D

No. I mainly chose the picture to reference the "what came first, the chicken or the egg?" idiom.

Text: In one of my fandoms there is a minor recurring character. He became an Ensemble Darkhorse among some fans, but for a long time I didn’t care for him very much.

Later I got a new teacher and the first impression I got of him was that he looked EXACTLY like this character. He’s lovely and I started to like the character a lot because I associated with his teacher.

I went on to explore this character much further and realized I actually found him pretty attractive (At the time I didn’t think of my adoration of my teacher as anything other than platonic) A little less than a year later I realized that these feelings I have for my teacher may not be entirely platonic.

Obviously I’m not the first person in the fucking world to be in this kind of situation, but he’s also the kind of father I wish I had (Daddy issues ahoy!) and I hope to have a continuing (platonic) relationship with him (because he’s a great person) and I’m terrified about him finding out about my confusing and somewhat ambiguous feelings for him.

But I sometimes wonder if my crush on the character transferred over to my teacher of if I always had a crush on my teacher and didn’t realize for a while.
