OKAY. So let's assume for a second you're a for real, and not a troll, which I think you are.

There is no cure for transgenderism.

Let me repeat that: there is NO CURE for transgenderism, specifically there is no way to really get rid of dysphoria.

So even IF we would see it as a psychological problem - no therapy, no pills can get rid of it.

The only thing that alleviates dysphoria is allowing and helping them transition to the gender they identify with.

Not allowing them to transition leads to severe mental distress, that can even lead to suicide.

Transitioning IS the best treatment at this moment in time.

...wait, I thought the Tumblr brats had decided people could be "trans" without hating their bodies/wanting sex reassignment surgery? That would certainly make anon's point valid, i.e., that it's being legitimized as a mental disorder, not a physiological one. Thanks, SJWs!

...I should add, I think it's physiological, in my opinion.

Yeah, but tumblr brats do not take away that there ARE actual trans people, though.

not every non-conforming gender identity requires a transition, nor would it require hating yourself or your body. even in those who wish to transition, the self-hate and dysphoria aren't always present. a lot of times people who don't conform to a gender the world sees them as only want to live their lives free of prejudice from others. it doesn't require anything hate-specific and none of this validates any hateful commentary like op's

yes, but Kallanda isn't a tumblr brat. she's a reasonable person.

Gender is a social/cultural status as well. Those "tumblr brats" are just saying that you can be dissatisfied with your social status without hating your body.
