I do that too, but only with characters I identify with

I do this too! I never do it consciously, and it makes me feel impressionable. Sometimes my way of talking will resemble a character's, or my mannerisms.

I do that sometimes right after watching tv a few seasons at one go. Like if it's a dorama I adapt some of the mannerisms - nodding/bowing. It's because I'm impressionable.

Yeah, sometimes I do that too.

And, yeah, a couple of times I didn't realize it until months later when something called attention to it.

I did the Chandler (Friends) emphasis for kind of a while before realizing it.

And George Clooney does this head tilt thing a lot and I found myself mirroring it when watching something he was in and realized I had been doing it a lot too.

I don't remember if I mentioned this on one of my blogs, but there was a point, when I was really depressed, and reading a manga where one of the characters was PTSD, that part of my brain started responding to things as if I were her.

No mannerisms, just...it was scary.

Text: When I watch a show too much, I begin to imitate one of its characters.

I don’t even have to like the character at all to do this.

Sometimes I don’t even notice until I’ve already been doing it for months!
