My immediate reaction to this image was β€œI'd hit it”, so I'm not sure which is preferable. (Gregory Peck was sexy, though. Especially as Atticus.... Which is probably kind of messed up considering how much I look up to the character, but I wouldn't want him as my dad.)

That said, this is a normal enough feeling, anon. I don't think it's anything to beat yourself up about; not everyone has ideal relationships with their parents.

At the beginning of Gentleman's Agreement (not great), Gregory Peck is a widower being advised by his son (baaaaaaby Dean Stockwell) that he ought to get married again. "Gramma says you'll never get married again if you're so picky and choosy."

Watching it, I couldn't help commenting, "Kid, he looks like a young Gregory Peck. He can afford to be choosy."

LOL. I haven't seen the film, but I love how ironic lines like that are. As if Gregory Peck couldn't be choosy. AS IF, DEAN STOCKWELL.

I'm not normally a hurt/comfort person, but Gregory Peck in Spellbound pushes buttons I never knew I had.
