You're basically obligated to get some kind of treat on long car trips, right? We usually stop for lunch at the same place when we travel between LA and the Bay Area, and get something at the small store there (they make great fudge). This time we went the other market in this little center, and got salt water taffy. Which I had been dreaming about a few weeks ago. So that was a nice treat.
