Re: TV shows

Yeah, I started hearing a couple things about it here and maybe somewhere else, can't remember. And then it popped on Netflix.

Prior to actually watching the show, I had no idea it was CW. Within the two minutes, I realized that a majority of the main characters were teens and I was like, "...goddammit. It's a CW show. Isn't it."

But I kept watching anyway and now it's like crack, but I'm also trying to post pseudo-reviews/reactions after each episode AND I need to pack because I'm 99% chance going to be moving over the weekend and I sort of love and hate the fact that I can't straight marathon it because marathons are awesome but at the same time I know they are emotionally unhealthy, so... yeah.

I will say this, even though it's aimed at teens, the actual "teen drama" has been kept to a minimum. There's one love triangle going on right now that I'm just like "UGH" at, but it was caused by a dude essentially cheating and the two girls are kind of awkward right now, but they're also mature about it and don't let it get in the way of shit that actually needs to get done.

Also there's a Draco in Leather Pants character who's one of my favorite characters right now because he's a little shit and the writers (and other characters!) continuously acknowledge that he's a little shit but his motivations are still sympathetic and he had his own backstory episode BUT THAT DOESN'T OVERWRITE THE FACT THAT HE'S A LITTLE SHIT, and it's amazing how little those two things are allowed to coexist in media.
