I find not only that episode, but pretty much every crime drama that tries to be all "relevant"by making references to subcultures to be completely ridiculous to the point where all I can really do is just roll my eyes.

Same! I'm not surprised by younger folk getting defensive about their favourite thing getting mocked, but still. How can anyone take those eps seriously enough to get mad about them. It's like getting mad about a conservative news channel interviewing nobody related to video games about video games.
