Seriously, I'd pick Indis because I like her children better. I'm not a fan of Finwe's reaction to losing Míriel in the more extended stuff so I'd rather the girls get together when he agrees to stay in Mandos. But, in the versions where Finwe isn't a dick about being owed kids, then I'd go for a threesome that would shake up Elven notions of marriage.

It would be interesting to see how Feanor would've turned out if Míriel had been around. She seemed strong-willed enough to get through to him.

And agree totally on the 'What if...?' regarding Fëanor if Miriel were around. This whole post just reignited my Silm fandom, to be honest.
