I stopped watching New York after that ridiculous story arc about the murderer who fell off a lighthouse and didn't even get hurt and managed to find Danny and Lindsay's apartment, break in and menace their kid

hahaha, that's exactly when I stopped watching too (although I was already losing a lot of interest not long before that with the whole Danny gets paralyzed storyline. I usually love character whump, especially with Danny, but it was just so not engaging to me). I remember thinking "what is this bullshit?" and I didn't even bother watching season 7 to see how the cliff hanger resolved itself.
