10.) In some multi-fandom RPs, the application process in itself is pure fucking insanity. I think it was [livejournal.com profile] ad_interim but I remember applying for two characters - Magoichi Saika and Tadakatsu Honda - both from Samurai Warriors. I remember getting so pissed I withdrew my applications because everyone and their pets rocks were submitting cheesy FF/KH/Bleach/Other Fad Anime or Video Game were getting approved right off the bat and I had to sit there and wait for a mod that KNEW about Samurai Warriors to come on and approve.

Obscure (or not as popular) fandoms are usually put on the back burner in the application process. Sometimes the apllicants get so pissed at the waiting that they withdraw, leaving applications for just FF/KH/etc. So they usually become KH-based RPs that way.

You know, I hadn't really thought of that myself.

For [livejournal.com profile] trans_lantic, usually what I'll do if we get an app none of the mods recognize, I'll post in my journal and find people who know the series within two days to look it over and tell me what they think.

But I can definitely see how that'd be a turn off for a game.

Not to like say you're wrong or anything, but at that time I recall that the only two mods (myself and [livejournal.com profile] detefabula) who knew SW were unavailable (you know me and lack of time) and the others were waiting on us. You withdrew your applications when I was going to approve them, which wasn't even there for a complete day (unless I'm mistaken.) Just saying that this pretty much falls under the 'just be patient and we'll get to it pronto' thing.

But now I'm not a mod, so, yeah. *Dies*
