Not really. It's been around long before tumblr. For some people, they automatically do it because they spend so much time on forums that censor swear words that they're just used to it. I've never seen someone on tumblr argue that cursing is triggering (even a lot of hardcore SJWs swear like sailors because they think that adding "fucking" to something will somehow make their argument stronger) although there probably are a couple out there

in some sj circles, it's common to warn or censor slurs (which can be reaching at times) but as far i know swearing isn't. they overlap a fair bit though, so it's easy to why someone thinks it a thing.
