I made my boyfriend sit through all five seasons and three movies of the sailor moon anime, and he enjoyed it alright. When we watched PGSM he was the one who would go "can we watch another one??".
It's really good, you just have to get past the first hurdle of power-ranger-stle fighting in miniskirts and plastic monsters.

Man, every iteration of sailormoon was good in its own way, back then. The Black Lad Musical is a fucking masterpiece. And ow? WTF happened??
