Naw, I agree. Shatner was pretty, and he was the least pretty in the third season. I'm with you on that.

Shatner's a weird case for me in that I didn't find him at all attractive until I started watching TOS. It's his PRESENCE that's weirdly compelling -- he's charming and has these moments of gentleness, of stoicism that made me MELT.

Before, I'd have laughed if you suggested I'd think he's a hottie.

But now...well, it hit me like a ton of bricks.

This is so true! It's his presence more than anything else, although I do think he's also pretty.

But I didn't think he'd make me swoon (lol) the way he does until I saw him in action.

I agree. He's good looking in his own right, but he has this oddly compelling presence that makes him irresistible as Kirk.

In TOS, he's just one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen, and he's not even my type.

Text: My husband and I are doing a TOS marathon. I'm not enjoying S3 as much as I did as a kid - not because the episodes are bad, but because Kirk's hairstyle makes him less attractive to me in S3. (B4 this, I had no idea that I even thought Shatner was attractive back in the day)

I don't find Shatner particularly attractive.

I do, however, find Kirk hella attractive.

(Yes, Shatner's Kirk. Physically I slightly prefer Pine's Kirk, but attraction for me is as much personality as physicality, and TOS Kirk is pretty damn awesome.)
