He was just such a GOOD MAN. :'(

The world was a better place with him in it and that he's gone...it's like the ending of an era.

I know that seems dramatic but...Nimoy just mattered so much to so many. Especially scientists...the stories of scientists meeting him, being super-excited, wanting to show him their work (that he didn't understand AT ALL) because he had played Spock. He really INSPIRED people.

Text: Until he died, I hadn't realized how much he meant to me as an inspiration, and as a symbol of all the wonder and dreams that Star Trek awoke in me as a child.

Rest in peace, Mr Nimoy. The world feels like a poorer place now that you are no longer in it.

I basically made this exact secret. I'm not a Star Trek fan (though I've seen TOS) but I get really choked up any time people talk about his passing.
