What's your 'type' and what's the 'ideal' for romance or relationships or whatever? Does one affect the other for you?

My type tends to be cute, blond and kinda geeky.

I don't think my type affects the relationships, because I'm very particular about relationships.

To try to elaborate: I can love guys, but I do not necessarily like relationships in and of themselves. So, relationship-wise I can only realistically be with people with a certain mindset.

I basically need to weed out guys that are very relationship-minded, and want this to lead to things like a shared bank account, buying a house, a marriage, kids. Because that is not what I want.

My romance ideal is someone who is fun, smart and spontaneous, who goes on adventures with me and also has sex with me. Bonus for lots of shared interests. I dislike possessiveness and jealousy, people who need to be with me ALL the time or who would dislike me hanging out with friends or doing stuff on my own.

Don't have one. I have certain personality traits I like, but no set of specifics that someone must have in order for me to notice them.

I do have an anti-type, though. Bleached-blonde, fake tanned, overly made up, or overly "trendy" looks all put me off something fierce. No matter the personality underneath, I just can't be attracted to someone who looks like that.

My type:
Blonde or brunette (more blonde right now) with nice, at least somewhat long hair.
I like at least some muscle on both men and women, though more so on men
Smart and maybe a little geeky, but not necessarily a brain. I don't need someone as smart as me, just someone I can have interesting conversations with
Socially aware
More practically minded than me because I'm horrible at those things
More extroverted than me but also willing to let me take the lead on relationship things.
And, even though I mostly don't care about clothes/etc., I'm generally attracted to people who do.

Of the above, I'd definitely go for the personality stuff over the physical, though hair is possibly a deal breaker for me. I can't see myself being attracted to someone who was bald, though you never know.

My type: guys who are shortish, slender, pretty-faced...uh, basically real-life bishies? but not so tall? o___O

anyway, I love pretty eyes and cute smiles and all that. I am drawn to guys who are more introverted (I'm very extroverted), nerdy, deep thinkers, people who genuinely try to be good, like children and animals, value family and friendships deeply, and are looking for more or less the same things in life and relationships as myself.

I realized this when I was in Korea and looked around and was like OH MY GOOD EVERYONE IS SO PRETTY. WELL DAMN.

(add though that I prefer slightly darker skin)

someone i can touch, physically, in real life. someone who genuinely likes me and enjoys spending time with me and maybe halfway understands me.

i'd say that's my ideal of a relationship at the moment, probably

My type is smart women with... like... a kind of seriousness and intensity and caring about things, but a specific kind of it. Not ambition as such. Being fascinated with things, being interested in things, being committed to doing things the right way. That's what I'd say. And also smart. God I love smart women.
