I reread this many times, and it makes more sense if you substitute that period for a comma. It still reads confusingly, but then it sounds like the OP is only interested in heterosexual dating, exclusively with members of their own race, and wants the fiction they consume to match that.

That...makes sense, I guess? It makes sense that the secret could be trying to convey that, but the actual thought and intent behind it baffles me.
