Eh, I can see the argument. I think it's a little bit different, because The Wire was a series that was not widely watched at the time and got a ton of its popularity later on. But I'd accept the argument if there weren't a regular poster who's talked a decent amount about how they're watching the series for the first time ATM.

One poster doesn't make the whole thing legit. If I talked a lot about reading Harry Potter for the first time on FS then complained about someone spoilering me on how Dobby dies, I wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Lol excuses excuses. I live on a remote island on the other side of the world from America and I watched The Wire on DVD in 2008 with a region-free DVD player.

Indeed. I lived in America in 2008 and I watched The Wire... by buying a bootleg DVD boxset on my summer trip to China :v

That's correct. But it may surprise you to discover that people don't stop watching older shows and they don't stop having opinions or feelings about them.
