Some people become famous not through their own choice. Some people choose artistic careers where fame is an unwelcome side effect of success in their role (not for Taylor Swift, probably, but I think there are probably plenty of actors and such for whom this is true - they're not in it to be famous, they're in it because they love acting or singing or whatever and they want to make a living from it, and fame comes along with that).
