Maybe the song was an inspiration for Twilight.

The song, uh... doesn't exactly have a lot of lyrical depth. The most memorable bit is the chorus - which is pretty much "ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh" repeated a few times.

I mean don't get me wrong, it's a pretty sound, and for a song that's really all you need. Doesn't exactly convey the message "ooh I should totally go write a story about sparkly vampires!" though I don't think?

That part was from the author's dream, right? Even Twilight may have come from multiple sources of inspiration.
