If it's any consolation, any e-mail you could have hypothetically sent would likely have gone ignored.

And I'm assuming this was a totally anonymous thing so there was no way to contact the dog owner in question, right?

Chances are that the douchebaggy guy eventually showed his true colors and she ditched him.
