Well, just speaking personally there are two, totally contradictory, reasons.

One, I'm not really into dudes, sexually.

Two, I can appreciate him being a fine-looking motherfucker without wanting him to be in a bunch of movies that I think will be bad.

You know how each series of Batman movies was different from the one preceding, and each Batman was very clearly Batman, but not the same one? This Indy and classic Indy are too similar for me.

I don't want it. I don't particularly like Chris Pratt to begin with. He's decently funny in Parks, but everything else I've seen him in just felt flat. And I'm starting to get really annoyed by seeing his face everywhere. :/

I know I'm the minority opinion there, though.

This is where I'm at right now. Maybe I'll change my mind about it eventually, and Pratt IS awesome, but...I'm just not feeling it. Indiana is one of the few things I have no interest in seeing remade... the originals are perfect.

I will however acknowledge that Pratt looks mighty fine in this manip. Like...damn. But still no.

I think I would rather not have anyone redoing the role. I could totally see other movies set in the same universe, prequel or maybe side-quel. I liked the young Indiana Jones television series (well, the teenage parts with Sean Patrick Flannery, anyway), so something like that would work. Or maybe a young Henry Jones, Sr. getting involved in some mystery with Egyptian tombs, or the Knights Templar, or, hell, the Freemasons.

As a longtime, hardcore Indiana Jones fan, I'd be more than OK with Pratt portraying a young, inexperienced Jones in the mid- to late-30's, maybe as he's striking out on his own just after his falling out with Professor Ravenwood...but casting him in anything later than Raiders of the Lost Ark, I'd have trouble with.

That said, I'd much rather see Pratt pick up the reins in a prequel series (or, honestly, in any capacity), rather than watch LeBoeuf continue as Henry "Mutt" Jones III. Because, seriously: ugh.
