Reasonably, I guess? There's lots of homeless dudes but I've never really felt unsafe at any time.

Extremely safe except for car accidents. The crosswalk right by my house is the first light most people hit coming off the freeway, and not all of them bother to slow down or check for red lights. The street racers also like to use that expressway, although they generally do it late at night.

Pretty safe. Small town so very little major crimes. Drug stuff is the biggest thing to worry about and that rarely affects other people.

There's not a lot of crime that I know of but the roads are terrible. I don't know how many times we've had (minor) accidents on my road or one of the ones next to it or passed by other accidents. It doesn't really help my fear of driving.

Not the best...but it could be worse, certainly compared to American standards.

Decently. There's some areas to avoid at night, of course, but the apartment building I live in is on a really quiet street in a fairly quiet neighborhood. Only thing to really worry about near me is auto theft, but I don't have a car so that's one less thing, haha.

Downtown, though, I'd be a bit more worried.

There was a stabbing below by window a couple weeks/a month ago.

Two days ago there was a robbing on the pavements outside my flat in front of me (two up ped, I gave chase and they dumped the phone).

Probably not the safest. Just glad I live behind three different security doors, and am right next to a station into the city.

Very. Like, I can go through the nearest park alone in the middle of the night and not feel worried about anything at all.

I'm a bit more wary about walking by the river nearby at night though as there used to be a problem with homeless people and/or drug addicts some years back, and while I don't think there is much of an issue about that anymore I feel more comfortable staying away from there at night.

But really, my part of town is super safe and there is never any trouble around here as far as I've gathered.

I think it's safe as can be, but I'm worryingly oblivious, so...

I'm currently renting in what seems to be an area occupied by immigrants who've done well--folks who can afford nice living, but want to keep in touch with their old language and old food. It seems pretty crime-free.

(As a side note, I once rented for $400 a month in a part of town that used to be crime-infested until a major police cleanup five years prior. It was a few blocks away from the parts that were still crime-infested, including a bridge crossing with no lights at all during the night. Not a pleasant place to stay, and not just because the commute was two hours each way.)

Sage enough to be able to walk around at night alone as long as non-well illuminated park are avoided.

Pretty safe given how close I am to downtown... I still don't keep any valuables in my car though and like the fact that I'm on the second floor of my building vs a first.

We leave doors and vehicles unlocked, and like sarillia's town, the worst danger (after terminal illness) seems to be car accidents of one sort or another (treacherous roads, treacherous weather, animal vs. vehicle, vehicle vs. pedestrian, just to name a few).

BC There's a reason my city used to be on that one true crime show a lot...

I've never felt UNsafe. It's not the best neighborhood, but there's no drug dealers or crime here beyond someone hanging around on the corner for no good reason looking to get shooed off.

Not so bad, burglaries tend to be the worst crimes we get, stabbings happen sometimes. It could be safer certainly, but it could be a lot worse too.

Once someone went around shattering car windows to steal what was inside them. That was about six years ago. And that was the only thing to have happened here. Other than that, the only thing you have to worry about is being mugged by a squirrel.

To the rest of the city it is an infamously dangerous part of town. In reality it's pretty chill. The worst thing I remember happening, crime-wise, was a girl who got thrown away from her car, which was then stolen. The entire neighborhood called 911 for her, and even as the guy was attacking her, some random dude who was sitting on the sidewalk went in and tried to help her. He was kind of drunk though so the cops accidentally cuffed him when they showed up and the girl had to explain once she had calmed down that she had been pointing at him because he needed medical attention.

Apparently we've also had a lot of "houses of transgender prostitution", but those have been pretty decent neighbors so we didn't know about it until the police stand-off.

I wouldn't walk alone at night here where it isn't lit, and all my childhood bicycles were stolen so I'm very careful with my new one, but all in all I think we're pretty okay.

Pretty safe. I've never heard of someone getting mugged here, and people go jogging at night all the time without incident.

I guess there are a couple of blocks down town that I might not recommend going near at night if you don't want to run into junkies, but otherwise it's really pretty quiet here.

There's a white supremacist group right around the corner apparently. Eh.

I've never felt unsafe except for the idiot drivers. As a cyclist who follows the rules of the road, there's nothing more annoying than almost being smoked by someone who decides they have the right of way because they're in a car.

I walk home from work at late hours, I dropped my keys by my car and someone unlocked my car and put my keys inside for me, so yeah... XD

I mean there's obviously still some crime, we had a break in in my apartment building a few months ago, but they had a key to the building and went right to the flat of someone who was away on vacation so it's not like it was just someone hanging around being dodgy.

very safe, except that it's a bad idea to take a walk in the park by the river without an orange hat, because a bowhunter might mistake you for a deer.

I'm new to the area but seems safer than my last two suburbs. Bit more bogan but less drunk or drugged ppl wandering around lost. No screaming fights outside my house either.
