Pokemon help needed

I have a couple shiny pokemon I found in my copy of HeartGold and I want to transfer them over to Pokemon Bank but I don't have a second DS so I can't use the Poke Transfer in Gen V. So I was hoping someone would be willing to let me trade the pokemon to them and then trade them back to my copy of X.

I'd be happy to offer something in return for doing me a favor.

Yeah, just read the rest of the thread. Sorry about that. If you're in the general Seattle area I can help, but other than that...

I remember it was really annoying for my sister and her husband. They picked up some cheap copies of Fire Red and Leaf Green years after they came out just to have a bit of fun, but even though the games were compatible with their DS's, in order to trade they'd need two separate GBA's plus a link cable. They still played through them, but not being able to trade with each other sucked a lot of the fun out.

If the Pokemon are in HeartGold, you are gonna need to find someone IRL to trade you.

You can't trade over the Internet in 4th or 5th gen anymore. The DS servers were shut down last year. :(

everytime i want to "get with the times" and get back into gaming with newer consoles and games, i remember this sort of thing happens more and more often with internet connectivity stuff

is it too much to ask not to lose functionality ten years down the line? 15? 20? heck, sometimes even 7?

am i just old-fashioned? :(

Well that sucks.

I guess I'll just use PKHeX. I'd prefer to have the real ones but I was considering generating exact copies. The only difference will be that I don't know the SID for that game so that won't be the same.

Aw. Yeah, there was a bit of hurrying iirc before Nintendo WFC shut down about a year ago for various things, especially pokemon related things.

PKHeX is awesome because of how especially easy it is to use now, but it totally isn't quite the same feeling as transferring pokemon upward from game to game. It is sorta ridic that you need the second DS to get gen 4 to 5.
