His arms are so impressive. It's a good thing he's on a show where he can go shirtless now and then. (And rock a suit on occasion as well. He's delicious in glasses.)

Poor Hemsworth! I haven't seen his Australian TV work, but maybe he's improved a lot since then? Honestly, there are certain series and movies that make everyone look terrible, no matter how talented. (If the writing is atrocious for instance, it's hard to salvage anything.)

He was on an Australian soap called Home and Away. See?

He was captain cardboard. Not that it's a good show or anyone on it can act, but he actually stood out as the most terrible.

He had hilariously cheesy moments though. Like this one where he sings and plays the guitar.

I... Actually don't think the singing clip was bad? I mean of course it was cheesy, but it seemed like it was meant to be. Since we're talking about a soap though (that was at the beginning of his career, I assume?), I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt; I don't exactly watch a lot of them, but I've never seen one and thought, “This is good acting!” The combination of the writing and filming always makes things awkward.

I need to see more of his films though. I've been meaning to for some time, maybe I should try this weekend. I think he does a genuinely good job as Thor, but I don't have much experience outside of that.

He was also pretty tall compared to most of the cast, so they shot him from weird angles or with no forehead. He did a lot of that weird squinting "I AM EMOTING" face that everyone does in soaps. I think he eventually died of romantic cancer or sexy car accident.

I would be interested to see other stuff he's in too.
