...the daughter Best Friend Dude raised like his own, no less. 'Cause... IDK, the main couple couldn't be bothered, or something? They're all, "Welp, we're busy with Important Grown-Up stuff now. Thank god this ending was not just all in my head, I made the comment and wondered if that was actually what went down or I was remembering it wrong.

ew ew ew ew ew. Parent/guardian marrying their "ward" is a huge squick for me*, especially when people sing la la la they're not related so it's totally not like incest!

*this is unfortunate in that I read a lot of nineteenth-century stuff.
