If it gives you hope, you really shouldn't care if others don't like it. It's special to you, and what others think doesn't matter.

What ruined it for me was a higher-up at my office (or maybe their kids who were there way too often) playing it loudly on repeat when I was desperately trying to concentrate on writing. It happened a few days a week for a while.

(Remarkably, I haven't heard it all that much, so I still like it. Just don't play it often.)
