I am a big defender of self-indulgence. I don't see why people act like it's such a terrible thing when you're just trying to have fun. But a lot of people don't seem to agree with me that critiquing "just for fun" writing as though it was trying to be "serious" writing is often a waste of time.

nah, man, viva la self indulgent writing! it's fun and sweet and even if it's just for you or a small circle (my fiancée and i basically send one another self indulgent writing about our fav characters 99% of the day), who cares? fuck the haters, dude.

ps your icon brings me so much joy but i've never had cause to tell you
