Was talking on the phone at the same time I posted this, so I was trying to be brief.

No, the people in her life didn't deserve what she put them through, but they had hurt her in some way. The kitty didn't. From the book, I think it was the only action she showed any remorse for, too, at the time she was doing it.

I'll stop multitasking in the future.

Ah, okay. So you're saying her actions were justified TO HER, because people had hurt her in one way and another, but even by her extremely loose moral standards, what she did to the cat isn't cool. On that basis, I totally see what you mean. Thanks for clarifying.
