Mmm, that sounds real good. I just had a linguica sandwich the other week. Unfortunately, they're a little hard to come by outside the central coast.

For whatever reason, linguica used to be really common as a pizza topping in the place where I grew up (city on the West Coast). But then they sort of disappeared. Of course, only after my dad had given me a taste for it by constantly ordering it on pizza.

I wish it was more common, it's really tasty.

Yep, I'm not sure where you were from, but it's definitely a thing in Santa Barbara, Fresno, and San Luis Obispo counties (lots of diners there will have linguica and eggs on their menus), and then also in the Lake Tahoe/Reno area. Not sure how far into NorCal it extends. I live in the LA area now, and none of my favorite independent diners have it (one is a mostly-Jewish deli, the other is Greek).
