I take your point, but at the same time, I reserve the right to object to things I find objectionable in my own historical moment. Obviously time goes on, humans are always humans, and shit is endless, but taking that big picture as a justification for not criticizing things that deserve criticism seems to me a pretty lazy position, tbh.
