It can vary tremendously. All of the times I've gone, I've gone on tour groups. I went April 2012 by myself with Topdeck, so it was geared towards to solo travelers so there was no single supplement. It started in Prague and went to Dresden, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brugge, and London in a week. The tour was about $900, the flight was about $900, and I spent about $700 on food/souvenirs. Mostly because I added on going to see the Harry Potter studios outside of London.

The next tour I did was with a friend through Tralfagar in September 2013 during Oktoberfest. It was a bus trip that started in Munich and then went to Nuremburg, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Vienna, Salzburg and back to Munich. That trip cost about $1500 for the tour, $1000 for the flight, and then I spent probably $1000 on additional activities/food/souvenirs. (Some of the additional activities included a dinner cruise down the Danube in Budapest, a tour of the Eagles Nest in Germany, a concert and dinner in a palace in Vienna, and a walking tour of Prague plus some others)

This next trip is planned for July 2015 and the tour will cost about $900 and the flight will be about $1000. Not sure how much I'll spend on food, etc. The tour goes starts in Tallinn and then goes to Helsinki, Stockholm, Riga, and Vilnius but I think with the flights I'll add on Oslo and Copenhagen.

I have no problem talking about any of it. You could probably do it all cheaper on your own but I like the convenience of the tour group plus I find it easy to make friends that way. Feel free to ask me questions!

That sounds super cheap to me! I feel like I have saved like...$2000 and can barely afford a hotel room in New York City.

The tour with Topdeck stayed in hostels so that's how it ended up being so cheap. I also live on the East Coast near a fairly major airport so my flights are usually cheaper/direct flights.

NYC is so expensive, it's insane. But you can definitely get good deals if you look.

A few years ago I planned a trip to CA and including airfare, hotel, food, activities, I think the whole week cost $1100. We budgeted incredibly well for it.
